Need Help?

Hi, I'd like to economically recoat a sound GRP roof which has its top coat flacking in places. It needs to be dark grey in colour and hopefully in one coat without the hassle of completely sanding down. Total area 60 sq.m. Your suggestions would be welcome as I will undertake the work. Many thanks Ray

Unfortunately we do not have a one coat option for this application.

If the previously applied topcoat to the grp roof was a 2 pack product, the roof is clean, dry, sound and prepared as detailed in the technical data sheet we can recommend 1 or 2 coats of Teamac High Performance 2 Pack Zinc Phosphate Primer followed by 2 to 3 coats of Teamac High Performance Polyurethane Topcoat.

If the original topcoat applied was a single pack product we can recommend 1 to 2 coats of Teamac Marine Undercoat followed by 2 to 3 coats of Teamac Marine Gloss.

Before application of either system and loose of flaking material must be removed, the roof degreased and sanded to provide a key.

These is available in many RAL, BS and NCS colours in a gloss finish.
