Hi, I need to paint some boat woodwork, mainly teak faced ply that has too much stain to varnish, so repaired, but some small filling still required. It’s some cupboards and bulkheads in a wooden motor cruiser (Fairey) I would like the finish in white, not too glossy, but ok if that all there is. What prep, filler, primer and topcoat would be best? Any advice appreciated Cheers Kim
Assuming the teak faced ply is clean, dry, sound and prepared as detailed in the technical data sheet, we can recommend Teamac Aluminium Wood Primer followed by Teamac Marine Undercoat and Teamac Marine Gloss.
If a lower gloss level is required Teamac Marine Matting Agent can be used with the gloss.
This can be mixed to many RAL, NCS or BS colours.
