Hi I’m looking for a paint suitable for primed engineered ( MDF) interior doors. The manufacturer recommends solvent based only so I was thinking your ALLCOAT interior would be suitable applied directly to the primed surfaces with your shellac based primer for cut surfaces then ALLCOAT. Does that sound sensible Regards
Zinsser AllCoat Interior (Solvent-Based)is suitable for this application.
We would recommend testing for compatibility and adhesion between the applied primer and the Zinsser AllCoat Interior (Solvent-Based) prior to full application.
No additional primer woudl be required on the bare mdf areas, but we would recommend application of three coats, teh bare mdf must be clean, dry, sound and prepared as detailed in the techincal data sheet.
