Hi, Please can you recommend a primer/paint for old cast iron guttering. The inside of the gutters has been painted before and is now rusting a bit but not leaking. There is some flaking paint on the outside of the gutters but generally good condition. Can I use the same paint/primer for both?
For the outside of the cast iron guttering assuming they are clean, dry, sound and prepared as detailed in the technical data sheet we can recommend Rust-Oleum CombiColor Original.
This can be mixed to many RAL, NCS or BS colours in a satin or gloss finish.
Any bare metal areas should be primed with Rust-Oleum 3369/3380 CombiPrimer Anti-Corrosion.
For the internal surfaces you could consider Rust-Oleum Mathys Fillcoat.
