Hi - what paint coating do you recommend please for painting on the inside of a steel galvanised water/storage tank that will be supplying rainwater to a garden pond, so is suitably safe for pond life? (and a good sealant for a rusty galvanised metal surface). Thanks
Assuming the galvanised storage tank is clean, dry, sound and prepared as detailed in the technical data sheet we can recommend the barrel is first prepared with Teamac Mordant Solution (T Wash), Teamac Metaclor Antifouling Primer is applied followed by 2 coats of Teamac Chlorvar Chlorinated Rubber Paint for this application.
This is available in many RAL, NCS or BS colours in a gloss finish.
Once cured it will not be harmful to fish.
