I am looking to paint my ford diesel engine and want to make sure I buy the correct primer and paint that will withstand high temperatures. I have selected hmg coach enamel for the top coat, could you please advise what primer I should buy Thank you
Assuming the engine to be painted is bare cast iron, it is clean, dry, sound and prepared as detailed in the technical data sheet you could consider the option below.
This would be more suitable than the HMG Coach Enamel.
HMG Synthetic BDX Primer followed by HMG C71 Speedline.
This can be mixed to many RAL, NCS or BS colours in a range of finishes.
