I have a wood burning stove positioned in a chimney opening/fireplace with a wooden fire surround. The surround was previously painted with normal paint for wood which is now of course bubbling because of the heat from the stove. Can you please recommend a paint for the wooden surround which will resist the heat. Also, can this be applied over the current paint or will I have to remove all layers of paint and take it back to bare wood (a job that I really don't want to do). Thank you. Lisa
