I have bought an old shipping container (10 x 12 feet). The roof is bare metal. I want to protect it with a coating of something very rust proof but also capable of withstanding the weather in North Wales (wet, freezing, hot and sunny sometimes). Ideally in dark green as it is being used as a garden shed. What do you recommend please?
Assuming the bare shipping container is steel, it is clean, dry, sound and prepared as detailed in the techncial data sheet we can recommend Rust-Oleum 7500 Alkythane for the sides and Rust-Oleum Mathys Fillcoat for the roof.
Rust-Oleum 7500 Alkythane can be mixed to many RAL, NCS or BS colours in a satin or gloss finish.
Rust-Oleum Mathys Fillcoat is only available in Dark Grey or Black.
Any bare metal areas should be primed first with Rust-Oleum 569/580 QD Metal Primer.
