I have oak coloured double glazing wood effect, but over time the sills have deteriorated due to sun damage etc. I was thinking of painting them with upvc paint but would like to know (a) would the painted area be a solid colour, i.e. the wood grain effect would be lost.(b) if I sent a sample of the upvc, would you be able to colour match. Yes a paint for this area would be a solid colour and it would not be possible to replicate the wood finish exactly if there is more than one colour on the sills.
