I wish to paint a composite door (grp exterior), colour dark rose wood, without removing it from the frame. I am preparing the grp by abrading with 180 grit, and washing off with water.I need a pale green topcote to reflect heat and a primer I believe. Is your yacht paint the best solution? Slow drying I can live with. This door receives sunlight late in the day, and gets too hot to touch. My opposite neighbor gets more sun but has no problem, (white door).I look forward to your answers.
For painting a composite door we can recommend the Kolorbond uPVC Painting Kits.
This is available in many RAL, NCS or BS colours in a satin finish.
The kit comes with the required preparatory materials and offers a 10 year guarantee on adhesion and 5 years on colour fastness.
