My property is painted with masonry paint at the moment and in the winter months the rain drives to the front of the property causing the render and block work to get saturated. I am lead to believe that masonry paint isn’t waterproof. Would you be able to advise me if there is a clear coat product to paint over the existing paint to waterproof the property. Please could you advise. Many thanks
Unfortunately we do not have a clear product suitable for this application, but good quality masonry paint may help address the issue.
Assuming the previously painted walls are clean, dry, sound and prepared as detailed in the technical data sheet we can recommend Rust-Oleum Mathys Murfill Waterproofing Coating.
This is available mixed to many RAL, NCS or BS colours in a matt finish.
