Would the coo var acrylic varnish be suitable for a kitchen worktop. It needs to be heat proof enough for hot , sometimes wet teacups to stand on it without making a ring.
Unfortunately no this would not be suitable.
Assuming the worktop is bare timber, it is clean, dry, sound and prepared as detailed in the technical data sheet we can recommend Rust-Oleum 4900 Polycoat 2K.
This can resist boiling water, alcohol, coffee, red wine, dilute acid and alkalis.
