Teamac Bilge & Locker Paint
Teamac Bilge Paint is a premium, single-pack coating formulated to offer exceptional protection for the inside surfaces of hulls below the waterline. This durable paint is available in a range of colours, including Black, White, Tile Red, and Grey, making it versatile enough to match various marine interiors. Designed to withstand the harsh conditions of marine environments, this paint is ideal for both leisure and commercial vessels. Its glossy finish not only enhances the appearance of surfaces but also provides long-lasting protection against water ingress and corrosion.
Application and Usability
Teamac Bilge Paint is suitable for application on multiple substrates, including wood, metal, and glass-reinforced plastic (GRP). The paint is easy to apply using a brush, roller, or airless spray, and its hardwearing nature ensures a robust finish that can endure the rigours of marine use. For optimal results, it is recommended that surfaces be thoroughly cleaned, dried, and primed before application. Recoating can be done after 8 hours or overnight, depending on environmental conditions.
- Do not apply in high humidity or low temperatures to avoid adverse effects on the drying process.
- Avoid applying over loose, flaking material without proper surface preparation.
Performance and Durability
This paint is formulated to resist common marine challenges, including exposure to water, salt, and fluctuating temperatures. It offers a tough, glossy finish that not only looks great but also serves as a protective barrier against corrosion and wear. With a typical spreading rate of up to 12 square metres per litre, this paint is efficient and cost-effective, providing excellent coverage with minimal effort.
Recommended Products
For best results, it is recommended to use Teamac Wood Primer or Teamac Zinc Phosphate Metal Primer as a base coat, depending on the substrate. These primers enhance the adhesion and longevity of the Bilge Paint, ensuring a superior finish.
