• Specifically formulated to protect cementitious systems such as Ultratop and Ultratop Living and as an anti-dust and anti-oil treatment for concrete floors
• Two-component, transparent acrylic formulate in water dispersion which forms a good chemical and mechanical resistance, on treated surfaces, according to a formula developed in the MAPEI R&D laboratories
• Apply Mapefloor Finish 630 with a wax mop, with a roller or by airless spray at a thickness of 60 to 100 micron
• When hardened, the product improves the mechanical characteristics of the treated surface, and in particular guarantees reduced water absorption and good chemical resistance
• Surfaces treated with Mapefloor Finish 630 have the following performance characteristics:
  • Good resistance to abrasion
  • Improved chemical resistance
  • Good resistance to absorption (of water and oil)

Application

Preparation of the Substrate

Ultratop and Ultratop Living surfaces

Ultratop and Ultratop Living surfaces to be treated with Mapefloor Finish 630 must be completely hardened. Before treating the surface with Mapefloor Finish 630 wait at least 48 hours, according to the temperature and the thickness applied.

Sand the surface and remove all traces of dust with an industrial vacuum cleaner.

Wash the surface and leave it damp to guarantee a good bond and to make it easier to apply an even coat of the protective finish.

Concrete surfaces

Concrete surfaces must be solid and perfectly clean. Remove all traces of dust, grease and form-release agent before applying Mapefloor Finish 630.

Sand the surface and remove all traces of dust with an industrial vacuum cleaner.

Before applying the Mapefloor Finish 630, we recommend wetting the surface with water to guarantee a good bond and to make it easier to apply an even coat of the finishing product.

Preparation of the product

Mapefloor Finish 630 is an acrylic formulate made from two pre-dosed components.

To prepare the product, mix component A with component B at a ratio of 10 : 0.15 with a low-speed drill with a mixing attachment until a homogenous, foam-free mix is obtained.

Only mix quantities which will be used within 1 hour.

Application of the product

Apply an even coat of Mapefloor Finish 630 immediately after mixing the two components together using a suitable wax mop, a short-haired roller such as mohair or by airless spray. Two coats of the product are usually required for concrete surfaces and Ultratop and Ultratop Living floors.

Clean tools used to prepare and apply Mapefloor Finish 630 immediately after use with plenty of running water. Once hardened, the product may only be removed mechanically. Coverage 0.15-0.20 kg/m² according to the grade of porosity and absorption of the substrate

Limitations

• Do not apply more than 100 g/m² of the product per coat. Larger quantities could cause defects in the coating
• Do not apply Mapefloor Finish 630 on dusty, crumbly or flimsy substrates
• Do not apply Mapefloor Finish 630 on dirty surfaces or surfaces seeped in oil or greasy substances which could affect the product bonding to the substrate
• Apply the product within 1 hour from mixing the two components together. If it is not applied within 1 hour, component B will be less efficacy and it will have to be added to component A again
• Protect Mapefloor Finish 630 from frost
• Apply Mapefloor Finish 630 at a temperature of at least +10°C, and in all cases at least +3°C above dew-point
