Application Method


Spray - AAA or airless. Ready for use - stir well before use.

Additional Info - Although the recommended method of application is AAA spraying, conventional spraying such as the use of a gravity fed pot gun can be conducted with a 2.5mm fluid tip. It may be necessary to thin down the coating to get good flow through such apparatus. Do not thin by more than 10%.

Recommended No. Of Coats: 1-2

Required Film Thickness: 135-175µm



Substrate Preparation


Suitable for all commonly used timber species.

Timber moisture content should be between 12 and 16%.

The substrate must be clean, dry and free from dust, dirt, grease, silicone and wax.

Follow the appropriate Anker Stuy Coating specification for other system products such as end grain sealers and topcoats.



Drying Times


Drying at : 20°C and relative humidity of 65%.

  • Dust free: 30 Mins
  • Handle: 1½ Hours
  • Sanding: 2 Hours
  • Overcoat: 2½ Hours
  • Stack: 24 Hours

This product is particularly suitable for force drying with high temperature and low humidity. A full three coat system with two layers of Hydrolux Iso Primer and a layer of Hydrolux Topcoat can be applied very easily in one working day.

Drying requires good air movement and removal of humid air from confined spaces.
