Mixing
- Gently stir PART A for 2 minutes to ensure dispersal of pigment. Once stirred, pour 100% contents of PART B into the Hygienic Kennel/Cattery Paint PART A tin and thoroughly mix by mechanical means (a paddle on the end of a drill) for 90 seconds, or until a uniform colour and texture is achieved and the curing agent has fully dispersed
- For Coarse Anti-Slip - PART C Aggregate will be added during application, see application instructions below for details
- Please note that after mixing components, 100% of the material must be used in a single application and cannot be stored for later use as chemical curing will occur
Surface Preparation
- Ensure that the concrete is clean and free from dust, laitance, oil etc.
- Defective concrete should be made good using a repair mortar such as Resin Technologies All In One Repair Mortar
- A relevant Primer should be used such as Resin Technologies All Purpose Primer
- Suitable mechanical treatment, such as using a surface grinder, is the preferred treatment prior to application, as this ensures a mechanical “key” for the coating
- However, in instances where this is not feasible, acid etching can also be used for this purpose. Please see Resin Technologies Etch & Clean
Application
Application Instructions for Non-Anti-Slip and Fine and Medium Anti-Slip Options:
- The mixed unit should be applied immediately with a consistent method
- Apply with a suitable roller, whilst a second pair of hands cuts in the edges of the space
- Flat areas should be cross-rolled to ensuring an even and smooth finish throughout
- Move down the floor and repeat the process until complete
- If coating a large area, you may require multiple work-persons
- A typical system would be 1 coat of relevant Primer and 2 coats of Kennel & Cattery Paint
- In this case after the primer has been applied, the first coat of Kennel & Cattery Paint should be applied no longer than 24 hours after the primer has cured or is dry to touch
- Similarly, the 2nd coat should be applied no longer than 24 hours after the first coat of paint has cured
- Please note the pot life for this product is 20 minutes, the paint will be unworkable due to chemical curing after this time, ensure you remove the paint from the tin during this window
- The paint will be workable on your floor for 40 minutes
- For more information please see the Data Sheets in the 'Data Sheets' tab, or please contact our Technical Department on 0113 2455450 (option 2) or send a message to [email protected]

- Floor areas should be cross-rolled to ensure even application and to minimise roller marks
- Move down the floor and repeat the process until complete
- Immediately scatter the provided coarse Anti-Slip Additive into the wet coating and back-roll with wet roller immediately to encapsulate the additive
- If coating a large area, you may require multiple work-persons
- If using a primer or base coat apply the anti-slip as a topcoat no longer than 24 hours after the primer or base coat has cured or is dry to touch
Limitations
- Do not apply on New or Wet Concrete (under 28 days old with residual moisture content of or higher 6%)
- Do not apply below 7°C
