Designed for long-lasting performance, this water-based line marking paint is ideal for use on various surfaces such as roads, car parks, and sports facilities. The formula provides excellent adhesion on concrete, steel, asphalt, and other mineral substrates when properly prepared. It also provides a durable, semi-gloss finish, and can be customised in a variety of colours, including standard options like white and yellow.
Application methods include brushing, rolling, and spraying, making it flexible for a range of projects. When applied correctly, it allows for light traffic within 16 hours, while full curing takes up to 7 days, depending on environmental conditions. Its water-based nature ensures low VOC emissions, adhering to European safety standards. This product can also be used with Bradite Low Slip Additive LS30 to enhance underfoot traction, providing a safer surface in wet or slippery conditions.
Application Instructions
For optimal results, the surface should be completely clean, dry, and free from dust or loose particles. When applying to bare, absorbent surfaces such as wood or unpainted concrete, it is recommended to apply a priming coat thinned with 5-10% water. Subsequent coats should be applied evenly to achieve the desired coverage.
- For best results, apply two full coats, allowing a minimum of 1 hour between coats.
- If used on porous surfaces, the first coat should be thinned to improve absorption.
- Ensure surfaces are above the local water table and have an intact DPM barrier for outdoor applications.
Drying times may vary depending on temperature and humidity, but the product can typically withstand light foot traffic after 16 hours and vehicle traffic after 48 hours.
Restrictions and Limitations
This paint is not recommended for use on surfaces exposed to standing water, or those not properly primed. Avoid applying in temperatures below -5°C or in high humidity conditions as this can prolong drying times and affect the quality of the finish. The product is non-flammable but should not be mixed with solvent-based paints or thinners. Always test for compatibility with existing coatings by applying a small patch before full application.
For further details on correct application and safety guidelines, please refer to the downloadable data sheet.
