Features & Benefits

Mapei MapeWall GPR is a grey powder composed of cement, selected aggregates and special synthetic resins, which when mixed with water provides a render that is easy to apply on suitably prepared masonry substrates. MapeWall GPR can be applied by hand or with a rendering spray machine.

Note: Mapewall GPR must never be used on gypsum or gypsum-based surfaces.

Preparing the substrate

The substrate must be compact, free of dust, oil, grease and paints. If in doubt please contact MAPEI Technical Services dept.

Preparing the mix

MapeWall GPR should be mixed with clean water and stirred until smooth using a mechanical paddle mixer. MapeWall GPR is suitable for application with rendering spray machines.

One 25 kg bag of MapeWall GPR should be mixed with between 5.0 and 5.5 ltrs of clean potable water and the mixed product remains usable for 1 to 3 hours.

Applying the mix

Apply by trowel or machine. Uneven substrates may require a first coat to build out the thickness required. Level off with a straight edge or darby. The system can be reinforced with MAPEI Mapetherm Net to help prevent cracking.

When Mapetherm Net is applied, it must be embedded in the top third of wet Mapewall GPR then level off with a straight edge or darby. It is unadvisable to apply in direct sunlight or when the temperature is below +5°C and falling or above +30°C.

The render can be finished with products from the MAPEI range, allow sufficient drying time before application. This will be dependent upon relative humidity at the time of application.

Cleaning

Tools can be cleaned with water before the product sets.
