Zenova IR is an ecologic thermal insulating plaster. It is a mono component product based on ceramic microspheres which, after application, present outstanding properties such as:
- Thermal insulation internally and externally
- Thermal reflection of sunrays and infrared radiation
- Anti-condensation characteristics by eliminating the conditions which lead to the presence of water drops and mold, at the same time preventing their formation
- Internal heat conservation by an increased reduction of heat transfer via its excellent thermal insulating characteristics; interior temperature conservation thus leads to decreased energy costs
- Used in new thermal insulations and for the rehabilitation and maintenance of old thermal insulations
- Suitable internally and externally for walls, (timber, concrete, brick, plasterboard, etc.)
- Greatly reduced heating and cooling costs by up to 30%
- The most cost-effective way to improve insulation
- Extends substrate life by preventing condensation and corrosion
- Prevents mold growth and protects from elements (salt, rain, wind, temperature fluctuations, chemical vapours)
- 10 Years warranty (when used with Zenova Primer)
Technology working to reduce energy consumption and costs!
Thermal barrier with minimal application - Zenova IR thermal insulating coating can be used on its own or mixed with concrete and plaster for a render application to internal and external walls in commercial and residential buildings to provide immediate insulation benefits.

- Excellent adhesion to exterior brick and concrete surfaces and plasterboard for internal use
- Eco friendly, non-toxic, non-flammable
- Odourless
- Quick drying time
- No additional painting required
Application
Installation of Zenova IR shall be performed by trained applicators for such work, with respect to the specific technical regulations.
Application of the render shall be done only in favorable atmospheric conditions: ambient temperature min. 10˚C, acceptable aeration, relative humidity of max. 80%.
Application of Zenova IR is carried out after the primer has completely dried. Before application, the product must be homogenized well by medium stirring (300-400 rpm). Application of the product shall be done by trowel or by plaster spraying machine. Minimum application temperature: 10˚C. Multiple layers shall be applied only after the previous layer has dried.
Also, you can apply the Zenova IR render by adding 1 kilo of Portland cement at 20 liters of Zenova IR under a moderate stirring of 400 rpm for about 5 minutes until a homogeneous plaster-like consistency is achieved, integrating the cement particles into the Zenova IR paste. After mixing, the mixture can be applied by a trowel. A single trowel crossing equals 1 coating layer.
Recommended total thickness (with or without cement) = 5 mm. May be applied as thin as 1mm at a consumption rate of 1L/m². Thermal performance and actual product consumption may vary depending on the substrate, equipment used, application method, and building type. Let each layer dry before applying the next layer.
Theoretical product consumption is 5L/m².
Clean tools with water before the mixture dries.
Surface Preparation
The surfaces on which Zenova IR will be applied must be clean, dry and dust-free.
Priming the Surface
Zenova Primer can be applied on the prepared surface by using a brush, roller brush, or by airless spray gun. The primer layer dries in approximately 1 hour, depending on the ambient temperature and humidity.
Product consumption for primer: 50 - 100 g/m².
Package, Storing, Transport
Packed in PE recipients of different sizes. Store in non-humid places, at temperatures between 5-35˚C. Keep away from freezing and direct sunlight.
Shelf Life
The product has a shelf life of 36 months from the date of production if stored in proper conditions.
Testing
Zenova IR has been independently tested to the following standards by multiple accredited testing agencies. (Reports available for download from the data sheets tab further above.)
- BS EN 13823 (SBI): 2020
- ASTM C518-17
- BS EN 11925-2
