HMG EpiPrime ZM
High-performance, two-pack epoxy primer enriched with zinc phosphate and Micaceous Iron Oxide (MIO). Designed for industrial and professional use, it provides outstanding anti-corrosion protection for steel surfaces exposed to extreme weather conditions or aggressive chemical environments. Available in Light Grey, this product ensures reliable adhesion and resistance to salts, dilute acids, and alkalis.
Applications
This epoxy primer is specifically formulated for use on steel structures requiring long-lasting protection against rust and corrosion. Ideal applications include industrial plants, offshore equipment, pipelines, and machinery exposed to chemical attack or harsh weather. Not suitable for use on untreated or improperly prepared surfaces.
Application Guidelines
Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free from contaminants before application. Use appropriate HMG preparatory products, such as degreasers and silicone removers, to achieve optimal results. Apply using conventional spray, pressure pot, or airless systems with a mixing ratio of 4:1. Follow recommended flash-off times between coats to prevent defects.
- Spray Gun Setup: 1.8-2.0 mm nozzle for conventional systems.
- Flash-Off Time: 15 minutes between coats.
- Drying Time: Touch dry in 30 minutes at 20°C; hard dry in 8 hours.
- Recoat Time: Minimum of 4 hours.

Limitations
Do not use on surfaces contaminated with oil, grease, or silicone residues without thorough cleaning. This product is not suitable for consumer use and must only be applied by trained professionals. Ensure proper ventilation during application and curing to avoid health risks.

Always consult the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) before use. Contains hazardous substances requiring appropriate handling and storage. Ensure respiratory protective equipment is worn when spraying. Classified as a flammable liquid with a UN1263 transport number. This product does not contain Diisocyanates.
