• For professional use
• Latexplan Trade Fast is a two-part cement based smoothing compound consisting of a grey powder (part A) containing special cements, graded silica sands and additives to be mixed with a synthetic rubber latex (part B)
• Can receive foot traffic after approximately 60 minutes and is ready to install floor coverings after 2½ - 3 hours depending on the thickness and ambient temperature
• Very low odour making it suitable for use in confined and inhabited areas, where working and/or occupation must be maintained
• Should not be mixed with any additional latex liquid or any water
• Moisture tolerant and suitable for use under Mapei damp proof membranes
• One unit (part A + part B) will cover approximately 4.5 - 5m² at 3mm thickness

Application

Preparation of the Substrate:

• The substrate must be clean, structurally sound, and free from grease, oil, paint, and plaster residues, surface contamination, including surface hardeners, water softenable adhesives, loosely applied materials. and additives that may compromise the bond
• Adhesive residue must be checked to confirm they are not water softenable and that they are hard, solid and are suitably strong enough to receive a smoothing/levelling compound

Priming (75% R.H. or below)

• On highly porous and absorbent surfaces, a coat of primer prior to the application of smoothing compounds etc will reduce pin holes and air bubbles on the subsequent compounds above
• Suitable for absorbent substrates and surfaces
• For non porous surfaces use Eco Prim Grip Plus
• For using surface damp proof membrane, ensure primer is not applied prior to the application of the membrane but above it
• When applying Latexplan Trade Fast above cured Mapei surface applied membranes, in all cases the membrane must be primed

Mixing:

• Mix 20Kg of Latexplan Trade Fast part A powder into 4 litres of Latexplan Trade Fast part B liquid
• The part B liquid container should be shaken and poured into a clean mixing container
• The Latexplan Trade Fast part A powder is then added gradually whilst continually stirring with a mixing paddle attached to a slow-speed drill
• The mixed product has a working time of approximately 10-15 minutes at +23°C
• Do not add more latex liquid or water to the mix once it has begun to set
• Do not over mix the products as this will cause excessive heat and cause the mixed product to cure too quickly

Application of the product:

• The mixed product is poured onto the prepared subfloor and spread with a smooth edged trowel to the required thickness in one operation
• Additionally the use of a spiked roller will ensure a smooth even finish that will not require any further attention prior to the floor coverings bring installed
• Do not over-trowel the product once it has been placed on to the sub floor
• The correct mix permits thicknesses from 3mm to 10mm per application, ensure a minimum 3mm thickness is applied to provide the optimum absorption for the adhesive (apply at a minimum floor temperature of above +5°C)

Drying:

• At normal temperatures Latexplan Trade Fast will take light foot traffic after 60 minutes and will accept bonded floor coverings after 2½ - 3 hours

Cleaning Tools:

• All tools and mixing containers should be washed and cleaned immediately after use before the material hardens

Storage & Safety Instructions

• Part A has a storage life of approximately 12 months if stored in dry conditions
• Part B has a storage life of approximately 24 months if stored in dry conditions and protected from frost
• Component A contains cement that when in contact with sweat or other body fluids causes an irritant alkaline reaction and allergic reactions to those predisposed
• It can cause damage to eyes
• In case of contact with eyes or skin wash immediately with plenty of water and seek medical attention
• Component B is not considered as dangerous according to the current regulation regarding the classification of mixtures
• We recommend the use of protective gloves and goggles and to take the usual precautions for handling chemical products
