Visqueen Axiom Guard Pro Matting is a white fibreglass mesh supplied in 1m x 20m rolls.

When incorporated into Axiom Guard Pro, the matting creates a reinforced monolithic membrane and helps to ensures the correct membrane thickness is achieved.

Storage and Handling

Visqueen Axiom Guard Pro Matting should be stored in a dry location, under cover in its original packaging.

Care should be taken when handling the product in line with current manual handling regulations.

The matting can be cut with a sharp retractable safety knife or robust scissors.

Preparation

Pre-cut the matting to the correct dimensions prior to application of the Visqueen Axiom Guard Pro.

Ensure the substrate is smooth, clean and free from frost, dust, laitance or loose material. The substrate can be dry or damp but not wet. Any surface contamination e.g. oil, paint, mortar snots, fungal growth, etc must be removed. All substrate cracks or surface irregularities must be repaired and filled prior to product application.

Use of a disc roller aids detailing of the matting at changes in direction and reduces the likelihood of tenting across the directional change.

Installation

Apply a coat of Visqueen Axiom Guard PRO onto the substrate. For installation of Visqueen Axiom Guard PRO, see product technical datasheet. Without delay, embed and dry roller Visqueen Axiom Guard PRO Matting into the liquid product until the liquid is drawn through, then immediately apply a further coat of liquid product ensuring the matting is fully embedded. Avoid any pinholes in the coating or ruckles in the matting.

Visqueen Axiom Guard PRO Matting is supplied in 1m x 20m rolls. One edge of the matting has a straight cut, while the other is frayed. When overlapping the matting, position the frayed edge of the matting minimum 50mm onto the previously laid matting.

Where level changes occur, use separate strips of matting, overlapping minimum 50mm. Ensure the matting is fully embedded at all angles and changes in direction. The matting structure softens after a couple of minutes contact with Visqueen Axiom Guard PRO, making detailing easier to form.

Usable Temperature Range

Visqueen Axiom Guard PRO system should be installed within the following temperature range; ambient temperature and substrate temperature should be minimum 5°C and not exceeding 30°C.
