Visqueen Axiom Guard PRO Topcoat is a UV resistant coating for Visqueen Axiom Guard PRO liquid-applied membrane, suitable for pedestrian traffic and when finished with kiln dried silica sand, it provides an anti-slip surface.

In general we sort colours for products into 2 main groups - ‘Ready Mixed’ and ‘Tinted’.
Tinted colours will always be more expensive than Ready Mixed colours as they need to be produced at the time of order using a tinting machine dispensing colourant into a base*.
During busy periods, this means that tinted colours could take longer, for example – a ready mixed colour ordered on a 3-5 day delivery might arrive within 3 days, however a tinted colour might take the full 5 days to arrive.

To find Ready Mixed colours, search "ready mixed" or select the Ready Mixed 'colour chart'. To see Tinted colours select a colour chart such as RAL, BS, NCS, etc. or search for a colour/hue to see available or related options.

To ensure fair pricing, we split colours into ‘Price Bands’ to group together similar priced colours. If you wish to search for the cheapest tinted colours, always select Price Band 1.

We have made every effort to display as accurately as possible the colours of our Products but we cannot guarantee that the colour shown on Customer’s monitor’s display will accurately reflect the colour of the Product on delivery. Visqueen Axiom Guard Pro Topcoat is a high performance, two-component polyurethane coating with a gloss finish. The two-component coating is supplied in separate tins which are mixed together; Part A (4.3kg) and Part B (0.7kg).

Storage and Handling

Visqueen Axiom Guard Pro Topcoat should be stored upright, in a dry well-ventilated area, under cover and in its original packaging. Store away from any sources of ignition at temperatures between 5ºC and 30ºC.

To avoid the risk of spillage, always store and transport in a secure upright position. The unopened product has a minimum shelf life of 12 months.

Use in a well ventilated space away from any sources of ignition. Keep the container closed when not in use.

Once the tins have been opened, they should be used immediately. The coating is not suitable for storing once the two components have been mixed together.

Care should be taken when handling the product in line with current manual handling regulations.

Preparation

The previously applied Visqueen Axion Guard Pro membrane should be cured, clean, dry and free from frost, dust, loose material or contamination.

In specifications where multiple coats of Visqueen Axiom Guard Pro Topcoat are applied, the previous layer should be cured, clean, dry and free from frost, dust, loose material or contamination.

Visqueen Axiom Guard Pro Topcoat should be applied in dry conditions only. The substrate should be dry and there should not be any risk of rainfall prior to curing.

Visqueen Axiom Guard Pro Topcoat typical coverage is 20m² per 5kg (250g/m² per coat).

The product is installed using 100mm solvent resistant short nap rollers for detailing areas and a 225mm solvent resistant short nap rollers with an extension handle for the main area. Rollers are not reusable and must be disposed appropriately after use.

The coating is obtained by mixing 100% of the two components, Part A and Part B.

Installation

Open the Visqueen Axiom Guard Pro Topcoat tins and pour Part B into Part A. Mechanically stir the contents at a slow speed for minimum two minutes to ensure that the two components are fully mixed.

Roller apply the Axiom Guard Pro Topcoat coating as a thin layer at a coverage rate of 250g/m².

Where a non-slip finish is required, after minimum 48 hours apply a further coat of Visqueen Axiom Guard Pro Topcoat and whilst the coating is still wet, broadcast kiln dried silica sand or other approved aggregate into the surface.

Usable Temperature Range

Visqueen Axiom Guard Pro system should be installed within the following temperature range; ambient temperature and substrate temperature should be minimum 5°C and not exceeding 30°C.
