Rust-Oleum CombiColor Original Aerosols - Rust Prevention Spray Topcoat
CombiColor Original Aerosols offer a convenient, high-performance solution for metal protection and rust prevention. This single pack aerosol paint is designed for easy application directly onto rust, bare metal, or primed surfaces. Its unique formula combines primer and topcoat in one, providing excellent coverage and a high gloss finish without the need for additional coats.
Applications and Uses
Ideal for small maintenance tasks and touch-ups, CombiColor Original Aerosols are perfect for use in light industrial settings, normal humidity, and interior applications. It can be applied on a variety of surfaces including:
- Bare metal
- Manually derusted metal
- Primed steel with CombiPrimer Anti-Corrosion
Application Instructions
For optimal results, ensure the surface is clean and free from contaminants such as dirt, grease, and oil. Sand intact coatings to provide a proper key for adhesion. During application, shake the can vigorously for at least one minute after the mixing ball is heard. Hold the can approximately 25 cm from the surface and apply several thin layers, allowing a few minutes between coats. Avoid applying too thick layers to prevent drying and sagging issues.

Assuming the substrate is compatible, it is clean, dry, sound and prepared as detailed in the technical data sheet you could consider Jotun Solvalitt. This is a heat resistant coating suitable for insulated and non insulated surfaces, Solvalitt is recommended as a finish coat for insulated surfaces, in systems with suitable primers. This is heat resistant upto 600°C and can be mixed to many RAL, NCs or BS colours in a matt finish. | |

Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team: Rust-Oleum CombiColor Aerosols are only available in a range of ready produced colours. If you require a colour outside of what is available then you can purchase Rust-Oleum Custom Filled Aerosols which allow us to mix Rust-Oleum CombiColor in any colour (Satin or Gloss finish) and then fill it into aerosols. These aerosols have to be bought in packs of 8 x 400ml aerosols per colour. Alternatively there may be suitable colours available individually in the Rust-Oleum Hard Hat Topcoat which is a similar product. | |
