Description

Hanford & Green Acrylic Matt

Hanford & Green Acrylic Matt is a high quality acrylic paint offering a flat, chalky matt finish, perfect for creating beautiful interior ceilings and walls. This paint is suitable for low to moderate use areas and can be used on many surfaces, including gypsum plaster, plasterboard, and timber. With its high scrub resistance, Acrylic Matt ensures durability and a long-lasting finish.

Microsafe

For environments where hygiene is paramount, consider the Microsafe additive. Reduces MRSA by 99.91%, E. coli by 99.94%, and SARS COV 2 by 68.38% within 24 hours, ensuring a cleaner, safer environment. Ideal for medical facilities, kitchens, and other spaces with stringent hygiene standards.

SplashGard

An additive that can be combined with all Hanford & Green paints to provide a protective barrier against humid areas where condensation is apparent. Moisture resistant and easily cleanable, Splashgard is ideal for bathrooms, kitchens and more..

Application

This product can be applied in temperatures between 5°C and 30°C. For the best results, ensure surfaces are free from dirt, dust, grease, mould, and other contaminants. Apply paint generously with even brush strokes, maintaining a wet edge. Do not overwork the paint or apply over drying sections to avoid marks and imperfections.

  • Brushing: Use high-quality synthetic brushes.
  • Rolling: Use short-napped synthetic rollers for smooth surfaces.
  • Spraying: For airless spray application, dilute paint by up to 25% and seek technical guidance on equipment settings.

Environment and Safety

Acrylic Matt is designed to be environmentally friendly with a low VOC content of just 10g/l. It is virtually odourless and easy to clean up with water. The paint is also available in a Microsafe variant, which incorporates an anti-microbial formula, reducing MRSA and E. coli significantly, making it ideal for environments where hygiene is crucial.

Surface Preparation

For optimal results, surfaces should be prepared thoroughly. This includes cleaning off any mould, dirt, or grease, sanding smooth, and filling any holes or cracks with suitable fillers. Always use a primer or mist coat for new surfaces to ensure proper adhesion and a flawless finish.

Storage and Maintenance

Store the paint in a cool, dry, and frost-free environment away from direct sunlight. Unopened containers can be stored for up to two years. Properly reseal opened containers to prevent contamination. For cleaning, use a mild detergent solution and avoid harsh scrubbing.

Health and Safety

Ensure to follow all safety guidelines when using Acrylic Matt paint. Avoid contact with eyes, skin, and clothing. In case of accidental contact, rinse thoroughly with water and seek medical advice if necessary. The product contains components that may produce an allergic reaction and should not be inhaled during spray application. Always refer to the downloadable data sheet for more information.
