Hydraseal DPM - High-Performance, 2-Component Epoxy Resin System
Provides a durable moisture barrier on cementitious substrates with up to 100% relative humidity. This solvent-free and low-VOC solution is ideal for environments where conventional primers are inadequate due to high moisture levels. Facilitates easy application and ensuring thorough coverage.
Certificates and approvals
- CE according to EN 1504-2 (when used as part of complete system)
- OS-8 Certificate (as part of Deckshield ID OS-8 system)
- OS-13 Certificate (as part of Deckshield ID OS-13 system)
- OS-11a Certificate (as part of Deckshield ED2 OS-11a system)
Applications
Hydraseal DPM is primarily used as a primer for damp cementitious substrates where other primers may fail. It can be applied on dark-wet concrete, provided there is no standing water. This product is ideal for environments requiring high moisture tolerance and where rapid floor finish installations are necessary.
- Can be used as a moisture suppressant or a full damp-proof membrane (DPM) system.
- Compatible with resin and cement screed toppings for enhanced floor finish durability.
Application Instructions
Ensure the substrate is free of laitance, dust, and other contaminants that could affect adhesion. Surface preparation should be done through mechanical means such as shotblasting or grinding. Mix components thoroughly before application, and apply using a rubber squeegee or roller with medium-length bristles. Allow the first coat to become tack-free before overcoating. Scatter silica sand onto the final wet coat to enable screed application.
Important Considerations
Hydraseal DPM should not be used in environments with hydrostatic water pressure unless additional pressure relief measures, such as directed drainage, are implemented. It is crucial to ensure that the substrate temperature is at least 3°C above the dew point during application and curing. Avoid use in ambient temperatures below 5°C during the first 24 hours post-application.
- Do not apply on surfaces with visible moisture or standing water.
- Not recommended for environments where the temperature exceeds 50°C or for home DIY applications.
Complementary Products
For optimal results, pair Hydraseal DPM with Flowcrete's range of resin screed toppings to achieve a seamless and durable flooring system. These complementary products ensure maximum compatibility and long-term performance.
Health and Safety
Hydraseal DPM Part B contains substances that may cause severe skin burns, eye damage, and respiratory sensitisation. It is toxic to aquatic life and may have long-lasting effects. Ensure adequate ventilation and use appropriate personal protective equipment during application. The product should not be used for DIY purposes due to these health risks. Always refer to the downloadable data sheet for comprehensive safety instructions and more detailed information.
