Applications and Suitable Surfaces
Coo-Var Suregrip Aqua can be applied to a wide variety of surfaces including suitably primed concrete, wood, metal, and GRP. It is ideal for use in areas where moisture and other substances may make surfaces slippery, such as steps, stairways, disabled ramps, machinery areas, and doorways. The rough-textured finish ensures a secure grip in these high-traffic areas.
Recommended Use and Application Tips
- Always ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free from contaminants before application.
- On concrete, it is essential to roughen smooth surfaces to provide a key for the paint.
- For best results, apply at temperatures above 7°C using a brush or short-pile roller. Avoid thinning the paint.
- A minimum of two coats is recommended for optimum slip resistance and durability.
- Do not apply in confined spaces without adequate ventilation and avoid application below the specified temperature range.
Limitations and Restrictions
This product should not be used in temperatures below 7°C as this will affect the drying and performance of the coating. It is not recommended for surfaces where heavy machinery or industrial vehicles are used. Always conduct a site assessment to ensure the slip resistance of the floor is adequate for the environment and traffic.
