RonaDeck Resin Bonded Steel Primer

Single-component, moisture-cured polyurethane primer designed for steel surfaces. The product ensures excellent adhesion, rapid drying, and ease of application. With its silver-grey colour and optimised formulation, it is a reliable base for RonaDeck Resin Bonded Surfacing. This professional-grade primer is VOC compliant and restricted to trained personnel.

Applications

This primer is suitable for prepared steel surfaces that have been thoroughly degreased and shot-blasted to SA2.5 standards. The surface must be dry and free from contaminants before application. RonaDeck Resin Bonded Steel Primer is specifically formulated for industrial and professional projects requiring a robust and durable base for bonded surfacing systems.

Usage Guidelines

• Ensure the material is stirred gently with a low-speed mixer before application.
• Apply with a brush, roller, or airless spray at a rate of 145 g/m².
• The surface temperature must be at least 3°C above dew point, and the environment should be free from rain until the primer is touch dry.
• Allow full evaporation of the solvent before overlaying with RonaDeck Resin Bonded Surfacing to prevent blistering.

Do not apply on wet surfaces, in direct rainfall, or in conditions where humidity exceeds 99%. Always refer to the technical data sheet for detailed instructions.

Restrictions and Limitations

This primer is not suitable for non-steel substrates or surfaces exposed to continuous water immersion. It must be used only under recommended environmental conditions to ensure optimum performance. Avoid using the product near naked flames or high humidity environments.
