Advanced Epoxy Moisture Barrier
Ultra Dry is a low-viscosity, two-component epoxy resin designed to manage moisture in damp substrates such as concrete, mortar, and screed. This solvent-free formulation acts as an efficient moisture control system, allowing for fast-track installations without compromising structural integrity.
Where Can Ultra Dry Be Used?
Suitable for application in environments where moisture retention can delay projects, Ultra Dry is ideal for:
- Concrete and mortar surfaces with high residual moisture.
- Green mortar applications requiring vapour barrier protection.
- Swimming pools, balconies, and lift shafts exposed to constant humidity.
- Roofing systems needing an effective damp-proof primer.
Why Choose Ultra Dry?
Engineered for high-performance waterproofing, Ultra Dry delivers:
- Retention of up to 98% residual moisture, preventing future substrate issues.
- Exceptional adhesion to porous substrates including ceramic tiles, mortars, and concrete.
- Seamless application in a single coat using a roller or notched trowel.
- Fast-drying formulation with a pot life of one hour for efficient installation.
- Resistant to high humidity conditions, ensuring long-term performance.
Application Instructions
Ultra Dry must be applied to a clean, dust-free, and structurally sound substrate. Remove any superficial water and non-humidity resistant coatings before application.
Mix Component B into Component A using a slow-speed paddle mixer until a uniform consistency is achieved. Apply evenly using a roller or notched trowel.
- For moisture blocking: Apply approximately 500 g/m².
- For surface moisture absorption: Apply approximately 200 g/m².
- If tiling over Ultra Dry, scatter silica or kiln-dried sand while the product is still tacky.
Restrictions and Limitations
Ultra Dry should not be applied to structural joints. Ensure ambient temperatures are between +2°C and +35°C for optimal curing. Do not dilute the product.
Health and Safety
Ultra Dry is classified as hazardous under CLP regulations:
- UN 3082 – Environmentally hazardous substance (Component A).
- UN 2735 – Corrosive liquid, containing amines (Component B).
- Contains epoxy resin – may cause allergic reactions.
- Use protective gloves, clothing, and eye protection during application.
- Refer to the downloadable safety data sheet for full handling and disposal guidelines.
