Question:

Hello. Can this product be sprayed please? Thanks

Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:

Rust-Oleum Universal Special Metals Primer can be sprayed but beware of thinning it too much or the properties of the paint will be lost. An airless sprayer would give the best result, maximum addition of 10% water to thin the paint down.

Question: What is the most suitable primer/top coat for a powder coated garage door with some bare patches of galvanised background showing through
Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:

Rust-Oleum 3302 CombiPrimer Adhesion followed by Rust-Oleum CombiColor.

Question:

Hello, I am thinking of using Rust Oleum Special Metals primer and then All Surface Paint and Primer on our Camper Van roof as a renovation project. We have a grey Fiat Ducato van conversion and the rest of the bodywork is fine. The roof is unseen, but the paintwork is deteriorating. Is this product suited to the use I wish to put it to. Regards, Ian Bailey

Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:

In this instance we would advise just applying 2 coats of the Rust-Oleum Universal All-Surface Paint. Give the surface a good wash down and lightly abrade before application. If there are any bare metal patches then spot priming with the Rust-Oleum Universal Special Metals Primer could be done assuming the metal is aluminium.
