A quick drying clear coating for use over Ardenbrite Metallic Paint. For all external applications and for increased durability on internal applications (if required).
Ardenbrite Protecive Glaze is an advanced clear coating used to protect the solvent based Ardenbrite Metallic Paint. Recently improved, it provides outstanding resistance to all weather conditions and excellent UV protection. Ideal where weather conditions are highly demanding, such as coastal applications.
Two coats of Ardenbrite Protective Glaze are normally required for external use. At least one coat of Protective Glaze must be applied within 2 hours of application of the Metallic Paint to ensure its protection. If required for internal use, one coat is normally sufficient.

Questions
Question about the product
Miranda Bruce on 2023-11-29 05:46:56 | Question:
Does it add to scratch resistance? |
Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:
This product is designed for application over the solvent based Ardenbrite Metallic Paint, to provide outstanding resistance to all weather conditions and excellent UV protection, and is ideal for weather conditions which are highly demanding, such as coastal applications. It will also protect from tarnishing when touched or in contact with water, with the Protective Glaze as durable as the Metallic Paint. In regards to scratch resistance, please can you provide more information on the application to [email protected] .
Thomas McCaffery on 2016-04-28 17:44:20 | Question:
Is this ok for cellulose paints. |
Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:
We wouldn’t recommend using Ardenbrite Protective Glaze over any coating besides Ardenbrite Metallic Paint (Solvent Based) as it has no other intended uses. You may be better with something like Rust-Oleum 7500 Alkythane which provides a clear satin protective finish for previously painted metal surfaces.
