Question about the product
Glyn ELLIS on 2019-12-09 11:01:42 | Question:
Could you please advise the size of the tin? The cost per drum/tin is on the website and coverage but i can find the cost per litre. many thanks |
Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:
This product as stated on the product details is available in 5lt or 15lt pack sizes. To get a cost per litre, simply divide the price by the size.
Ronald Fraser on 2019-06-15 08:10:39 | Question:
is this product the same or similar to decothane which I have on my bungalow flat roof if so can I apply a top coat directly to the existing roof |
Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:
Unfortunately this product has been removed from the Sika product portfolio at the beginning of the year.
Hazel Barnes on 2019-02-09 13:08:02 | Question:
Can I use this paint as a finishing paint on a tiled balcony which is waterproof but discoloured? |
Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:
We would instead recommend the use of Sikafloor 161 as the primer and Sikafloor 420. However you need to ensure that the tiles are well bonded and not breaking up, otherwise you will need to remove them. Lightly abrade the tiles to remove the sheen and to provide a griping texture. Download the Additional System Data Sheet (MB-25) from the product page for more details.
Steven johns on 2017-03-15 09:31:28 | Question:
I am looking to paint a long outdoor concrete balcony in France. The current grey paint has been eroded by water drawing from the food in winter and hot sun in summer. The balcony goes all round the house some south and west facing in hot sun other areas east and damper. Would silks 405 be the best paint? The current finish is moth grey and looks smart in places. I would appreciate your advice kind regards |
Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:
Sikafloor 405 is ideal for balcony areas but you must read the product TDS (Technical Data Sheet) available to download from the 'DATASHEETS' tab on the product page. This goes through preparation, systems, number of coats, etc. We have also written an article on our blog on some of the most popular Sika balcony systems called Sikafloor Balcony Flooring Systems which may have some more useful information for you.
