Questions
Question about the product
James Staunton on 2024-01-23 10:46:48 | Question:
Clearance requirement for other services. There is fire rated ductwork within 50mm from FX9500 Intumescent paint. As this is fire rated ductwork will the clearance still be required? Regards, James |
Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:
This product requires the expansion gap to be at least 15 times the applied DFT of the product, so it will be dependent on the DFT Thickness of the applied product as to whether it falls within a 50mm expansion. Due to being fire rated, you would need to discuss this with your contracts Fire Engineer. If you require further assistance please contact [email protected] . | |
