Question:

Any good for filling rotten holes in timber wall plate on old open fronted porch which has a relatively light metal sheet roof on it

Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:

Sikadur 31 CF Rapid could be used to fill holes in timber in a generic sense assuming the wood is dry, cleaned and all loose/flaking material is removed prior to application. We can't however say whether it will solve the problems you have in this instance and it won't provide any structural benefits or prevent further rotting of the timber around it so this should be taken into account.

Question:

Hi would this be suitable for repairing cracks on a resin drive ? and also coating the drive to stop loose stones ? thanks

Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:

We would assume something like RSL Resubind CP would have been used initially to create the resin driveway when first done. You may be able to try this to see if it achieves what you are wanting but we would strongly suggest reverting back to the original contractor whole installed the drive for advice.

Question:

Can this be use to repair holes in concrete where lorries will be driving?

Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:

Sikadur 31 CF Rapid will work for small repairs and will be strong enough to withstand lorry traffic but it is all dependant on the size of the repairs. Sikadr 31 is limited to a maximum layer thickness of 30 mm. It will also need to cure for between 3-5 days to ensure it has gained at least 80% of its strength before applying loads or traffic.

Question:

Can aggregate be applied on top if this product to create a non slip surface?

Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:

Yes, kiln dried quartz aggregate can be applied whilst still live to create a mechanical key. This will also create a non-slip surface.

Question:

Hello, Is the product :- Sikadur31 CF Rapid a suitable product for sticking foam mats to an exterior tarmac playground surface, please advise? many thanks in advance.

Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:

It would be dependent on what the foam density is and its individual make up. We have had limited experience using a very dense foam type mat and Sikadur 31 CF Rapid. We would advise to carry out a small trial first to ensure a good adhesive bond and to make sure the epoxy adhesive doesn't affect the build up of the foam.
