Coo-Var P101 Anti-Graffiti Coating
The two-pack anti-graffiti coating is a high-performance solution designed to protect surfaces from graffiti and other forms of vandalism. Its clear, glossy finish provides a durable layer that is easy to clean and maintain, making it ideal for both indoor and outdoor use. This product is particularly useful in areas that require a high level of hygiene or are frequently exposed to harsh chemicals.
Application Areas
This coating is perfect for a wide range of applications, including bridges, statues, walls, and public toilets. It is especially effective in environments where surfaces are regularly subjected to graffiti or other forms of defacement. The coating can also be applied over compatible water-based paints to enhance their durability and resistance to graffiti. However, it is important to note that this product should not be used over conventional solvent-based paints, as it may lead to adverse reactions.
Application Instructions
Before applying the coating, ensure that all surfaces are clean, dry, and free from contaminants. The product is supplied in two parts: a base and a hardener, which must be mixed thoroughly before use. For best results, mix the contents using a slow-speed electric mixer for at least two minutes to ensure a consistent blend. The coating can be applied by brush or short nap mohair roller. For spray applications, ensure that proper ventilation and protective equipment are used.
- Apply at temperatures between 5°C and 30°C.
- Do not thin the product, as it is formulated for optimal performance without dilution.
- Allow a minimum of 16 hours between coats, with a maximum overcoat window of 72 hours.
- Full curing takes between 5 to 7 days at 20°C.
Limitations and Restrictions
This product is not suitable for use over conventional solvent-based paints and should be avoided on asphalt unless a primer is applied first. It should not be thinned or applied in conditions where temperatures exceed the recommended range. For optimal results and safety, spraying should be conducted in controlled environments with proper ventilation and protective gear.
