High-Performance 2-Component Water-Based Polyurethane Sealant

Designed to protect epoxy and polyurethane floor coatings. It offers a transparent, silk matt finish, enhancing the durability and longevity of industrial and commercial flooring systems. Suitable for sealing Remmers flake coatings, it ensures resistance to wear and slip hazards, making it ideal for high-traffic areas.

Where It Can Be Used

This sealant is specifically formulated for application over Remmers epoxy and polyurethane floor coatings. It is widely used in commercial, industrial, and residential settings, providing added protection for decorative and functional floor systems. It is also compatible with flake coatings, ensuring long-term adhesion and surface integrity.

Application and Performance

The sealant is applied using an epoxy roller in a wet-on-wet process to achieve a uniform finish. It provides excellent slip resistance and abrasion resistance while allowing water vapour diffusion, preventing moisture build-up beneath the coating. For best results, it should be applied within 48 hours of the previous coat, ensuring proper adhesion. If longer waiting times occur, sanding is required before application.

• Application rate: 0.15 – 0.20 kg/m² per coat.
• Foot traffic: 8 hours.
• Mechanical resistance: 3 days.
• Full chemical and load-bearing resistance: 7 days.

Restrictions and Limitations

PUR Aqua Top 500 2K M is not suitable for use on uncoated substrates or surfaces exposed to prolonged water immersion. It should not be used in areas where exposure to vehicle loads with metal or polyamide tyres is expected. Direct contact with strong colourants, hair dyes, and disinfectants should be avoided to prevent staining. Users must ensure adequate ventilation during application to allow proper curing.
