Spreading Rate
These will vary depending on substrate, the site conditions and longevity required.
Typically spreading rates will vary depending on the end use.
- Dependent on surface, but as a general guide new and sound surfaces at a coating rate of 6-8m²/l, (75 -100 litres per coat) and for badly fretting surfaces at 3m²/l
Drying Time
- Under ambient conditions between 1-2 hours at the recommended spreading rate
- For badly fretting surfaces where a thicker film is applied the drying could be 2-3 hours, depending on temperature and humidity and time of year
- Can be applied in less favourable weather conditions than water based paints
Preparation
- All surfaces are to be clean, dry and free from moss, dirt, grease and vegetative growth
- Vacuum or pressure blasting with water may remove any debris
- Brushing (manual or machine) may be suitable
