Wethertex PP77 All Weather Pliolite Masonry Paint - Premium Solvent-Borne Coating
Designed for use on various masonry surfaces. Formulated with advanced Pliolite technology, this paint offers excellent adhesion and durability, even in adverse weather conditions. It can be applied in temperatures as low as -5°C, making it ideal for all-year-round use.
Application Instructions
- Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry, and free from algae, lichen, and other growths before application.
- Repair cracks and structural defects. Remove any existing crazed or flaking paint, dirt, grease, or other contaminants.
- Apply Wethertex C10 Fungicidal Wash if there is evidence of organic growth, following the manufacturer's instructions.
- Stir the paint thoroughly before use. Apply using a brush, short pile roller, or spray in temperatures ranging from -5°C to 25°C.
- For very porous surfaces, thin the product by no more than 10% using clean white spirit for a penetrating base coat. Do not thin for normal application.
- Apply two coats for optimal coverage and protection.
Storage and Handling
Store in a dry place at temperatures above 5°C. Ensure the container is tightly sealed when not in use. Avoid the risk of spillage by storing and transporting in a secure, upright position. Clean all equipment with clean white spirit immediately after use. Dispose of waste material according to local regulations. Do not empty waste into drainage systems.
Important Usage Guidelines
- Avoid application if heavy rain is forecast or if relative humidity exceeds 95%.
- Do not apply in direct sunlight, on hot surfaces (above 30°C), or when the substrate is below +1°C.
- Protect the coated surface from heavy rain, direct sun, or wind during the first 24 hours after application to prevent damage, wash-off, or discolouration.
- If these parameters are not met, the performance and durability of the product may be compromised.

Assuming the brickwork is porous, bare, clean, dry sound and prepared as detailed in the technical data sheet we would recommmend two coats are applied with the first coat thinned no more that 10% with Bartoline White Spirit followed by an undiluted second coat. Regarding coverage, you can expect approximately 4 to 8m² per litre for the first coat and 10 to 15m² per litre of the second coat. | |

Unfortunately no this is not suitable for application to lime render. Assuming the lime render is clean, dry, sound and prepared as detailed in the technical data sheet we can recommend Zinsser AllWeather Exterior Masonry Paint (Solvent Based). This is available in many RAL, NCS or BS colours in a matt finish. | |

The render must be fully cured, clean, dry, sound and prepared as detailed in the technical data sheet prior to application. The render used and thickness applied will dictate the time this would take. Loose or friable substrates can be treated with Wethertex ST1 Quick Dry Stabilising Primer prior to application. If this is not the case the product may be thinned by no more than 10% for use as a penetrating base coat on very porous surfaces. | |
