Coo-Var's water-based primer and sealer is an effective solution for blocking tough stains and odours. Its matt finish and ability to block stains make it an ideal undercoat for a variety of finishing paints.
Application & Usage
This product is suitable for both interior and exterior use, providing excellent stain-blocking performance on a variety of surfaces. It is particularly effective at sealing watermarks, smoke damage, and tannins. While it can be used on multiple substrates, care should be taken when applying it to plastics, ensuring the surface is properly prepared.
Drying Time & Finish
The primer dries quickly, allowing for recoat within 2 to 4 hours at 20°C. Full hardness is achieved within 3 to 5 days. It is recommended not to apply the product when temperatures are below 7°C, as this may affect drying and performance. Ensure adequate ventilation in confined spaces during application.
Limitations
Do not apply this primer below 7°C or onto surfaces that are not clean, dry, or free from grease and flaking material. It should not be used as a final coat but as an undercoat for further painting. Additionally, avoid using the product on surfaces that have not been properly prepared, as this can affect adhesion and the overall finish.
Recommended Products
After applying this primer, it is advisable to use a high-quality finishing paint for long-lasting protection. We recommend choosing from Coo-Var's range of finishing coats to ensure compatibility and optimum performance.
