Question about the product
meg white-thomson on 2021-10-01 10:38:14 | Question:
Hi. Can we put this paint straight on a Pro50 self levelling compound finish or do we need to put something else on it first? It is for a porch area in our house. Also can you get it in Matt not semi gloss? |
Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:
Thank you for your enquiry, however to get an answer to your question you must contact the manufacturer of the levelling screed that has been used. They can then advise whether the product used is OK to overpainted and left as a final floor finish. If they do advise that it can be overpainted, please ask what type of paint the recommend to be used. They won’t necessarily recommend a specific product or brand, but they should be able to advise on the type of paint – i.e. single pack, two pack, water based, solvent based, polyurethane, epoxy, etc. Once you have spoken to them and got their advice, assuming it can be overpainted if you would like to come back to us we can then advise on what product would be best to used based on the levelling screed manufacturers information. | |
