Preparation
Stir before use.
Apply when ambient temperature is minimum of 2 degrees and rising and not exceeding 30°C.
Ensure substrate is in good condition, dry, clean and free from dust, moss or lichen.
All edge trims to be fixed to substrate prior to application of Ultraflex.
Ultraflex is self-terminating, if brickwork is in good condition, strike a line using tape on the brickwork to coat up to (important: when the Ultraflex has been installed ensure the tape is pulled before the Ultraflex is dry). If the brickwork is in poor condition a termination bar or flashing is required.
Application
Open tin and mix thoroughly before using.
Apply Ultraflex straight out of the can onto the substrate using a solvent resistant roller. Dry roll Ultraflex Matting into the product until the Ultraflex is drawn through, then immediately apply another coat of Ultraflex ensuring the matting is fully embedded avoiding any pinholes.
It is advised to start at the perimeter of the area including upstands to a minimum of 150mm (if possible), ensuring the matting overlaps any trims (including fixings) / joints / change of material by 50mm.
Infill the remaining field area using the same method as above using Ultraflex matting, at a minimum coverage rate of 1.5kg per m². The whole area including trims must be coated to form a continuous seamless membrane. Please take time to make sure no pin holes exist.
Optional: Apply an optional layer of Ultratop topcoat for glossy finish and extended guarantee once the ultraflex is fully cured and no later than 48 hours after Ultraflex application.
Please the the 'Data Sheets' tab for detailed application guides.
Drying Times
Drying time will be approx. 2-8 hours depending on weather, fully cured in 24 hours.

Questions
Question about the product
Susan Metcalf on 2021-08-09 23:04:36 | Question:
How much product would I need for 160 sq m coverage on wooden boards |
Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:
This product is normally used as part of a system, we have contacted you directly for more information.
Scott Challinor on 2021-08-04 12:59:12 | Question:
Hi there , stripping existing garage roof , will this stick straight to OSB boards , obviously including the matting |
Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:
Ultraflex can be applied to bare timber without the need of an additional primer.
Ian miles on 2021-06-11 23:11:48 | Question:
Can this be used on corrugated sheets, the cement board type. Obviously would remove any algae and jet wash prior. Many thanks Ian |
Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:
Eagle Ultraflex can be used on this type of sheet, you will need to use the Eagle Tixal additive also for this application to thicken the Ultraflex. You will need to apply 2 coats without reinforcement matting before applying Eagle Ultratop Topcoat.
Robert Owen on 2021-03-04 16:36:51 | Question:
Hello I have a terrace on our garage roof which has concrete tiles laid on what appears to be a bitumen felt membrane. Water has started to leak through the membrane at the edges where I imagine there is an upstand which has cracked. I am thinking of lifting the tiles, sealing the membrane and laying new concrete tiles on top. Would Eagle Ultraflex Waterproof Roof Coating be suitable to seal the membrane? If not, can you suggest something else please? |
Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:
Assuming the tiles are removed, the bitumen substrate is clean, dry, sound and prepared as detailed in the Technical Data Sheet we can recommend a scratch coat of Remmers MB 2K (Multi Tight 2K). Once this has fully cured the tiles could be relaid on top.
David Morris on 2019-08-19 13:08:06 | Question:
Can this product be used without the matting or is the matting an integral part of the system? |
Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:
We would need some details on your project and requirements to be able to advise. Could you contact our Technical Team at your convenience on [email protected] or 0113 2455450 (option 2).
