Description
Fire Protection for Service Penetrations
The Protecta FR Service Transit is a high-performance firestop solution designed to maintain the fire resistance of walls and floors when penetrated by cables, pipes, or ducts. Featuring a high-temperature resistant shell with a patented intumescent lining, it expands in response to heat to seal voids and prevent the spread of flames, smoke, and gases.
Certified Fire Resistance
Tested to EN 1366-3, this service transit provides fire resistance of up to 240 minutes. It is classified under EN 13501-2 for use in drywalls, masonry, concrete, timber walls, and floors. Suitable for a wide range of applications, it effectively seals service penetrations without requiring additional fire seals when retrofitting.
Versatile Installation Options
Protecta FR Service Transit can be installed in multiple ways, including:
- Friction fitting within concrete, masonry, or gypsum walls and floors.
- Embedding within Protecta FR Acrylic, FR Board, or EX Mortar for enhanced protection.

Available in lengths of 150mm, 250mm, and 400mm, the selection depends on the thickness of the construction and the fire protection requirements.
