High-Performance Non-Setting Fire And Acoustic Sealant

Protecta FR Putty Pad is designed to maintain the fire integrity of dry lining partitions. It effectively reinstates fire resistance when electrical sockets, water supply boxes, and small service penetrations compromise the original fire rating of a partition. Due to its putty-like consistency, it is hand-workable, reusable, and does not require specialist tools for installation.

Applications and Uses

• Electrical Socket Protection: Applied around electrical sockets to prevent fire, smoke, and sound transmission through cavities.
• Service Penetrations: Used as a putty cord for sealing around service pipes where traditional fire-rated sealants cannot be applied.
• Water Supply Boxes: Ensures fire integrity is maintained around wall-mounted tap boxes.
• Sound Insulation: Provides exceptional acoustic performance, reducing airborne sound transmission.

Performance and Certifications

• Tested to EN ISO 10140-2:2010 for sound insulation.
• Certified fire resistance up to 120 minutes (depending on partition type).

Installation Guidelines

• Ensure the surface is clean and dry before application.
• Apply directly around sockets, pipes, or boxes using hand pressure.
• No backing material required; ensures a tight, durable seal.
• For putty cords, mould around service penetrations as required.

• Not suitable for consumer use; restricted to professional applications.
• Do not use on load-bearing structural components.
• Not intended for external applications or prolonged water exposure.
