Questions
Question about the product
M.Dawson on 2024-02-10 16:24:18 | Question:
What thinners do you use to thin the paint or clean equipment eith |
Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:
The thinner for the Factory Floor Paint would be HMG Thinner 2611 or HMG Thinner 2612. This is a synthetic so white spirit would not be suitable.
Ian Garforth Painting and Decorating ltd on 2022-02-02 20:39:48 | Question:
What product would you suggest for newly laid concrete garage floor. It will be used for a car. What prep is required. Thank you |
Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:
With this product newly laid concrete cannot be coated until after a month from it being laid. The concrete then must be mechanically prepared or acid etched with a product such as Coo-Var Acid Etch and thoroughly rinsed then dried prior to application HMG Concrete Sealer. Then no later than 16 hours later HMG Factory Floor Paint can be applied. We would recommend application is not undertaken with a substrate temperature of below 10°C.
Sian Sandry on 2022-01-13 10:52:50 | Question:
Hi- is this paint suitable to paint on top of compound on top of underfloor heating? Thanks in advance |
Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:
Thank you for the enquiry, we have contacted you directly for more information.
Andy S on 2021-09-16 09:36:40 | Question:
I have already sealed my concrete garage floor with PVA, can I use this product on top of that? Thanks |
Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:
No, the floor must be prepared and porous to allow the paint to adhere, we would recommend the floor is ground prior to application.
