- The light-fastness of fluorescent pigments (all grades) is between 2 - 3 on the blue wool scale (of 8). This level of colour fastness is increased to 3 - 4 by over-lacquering with a UVRA containing clear varnish or lacquer. - In all environments, fluorescent paints will fade 5 - 10 times faster than conventional industrial, decorative or automotive coatings.
