questions Damian Power on 2024-10-29 17:25:12
Question:

Can this paint be applied to a HYPALON inflatable boat ?...... ( as an alternative to using the more expensive Polymarine's "Superflex ")

Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:

No, this type of coating wouldn't be suitable for this type of application.

It is designed for application to swimming pool environments and requires at least 2 weeks of curing after being applied.

Kolorbond Hypakolor could be considered for use as an alternative product, mixed to your choice of 5000+ RAL, BS & NCS Colours to a Satin finish.

questions Clark Ewing on 2024-09-11 14:42:16
Question:

Could I use this product to waterproof inside of drawers on my sink unit?

Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:

Thank you for the enquiry, we would need to ask for more information to assist with a specification.

Please contact [email protected]

questions Katherine on 2024-08-21 10:20:26
Question:

Hi, is this paint waterproof and can it be used on brick to prevent penetrating damp? Thanks Katherine

Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:

Assuming the damp wall is located in a basement, this product wouldn't be suitable.

However, as an alternative you could consider Coo-Var Anti-Damp Paint, this is designed as a primer coat containing an active reagent which combines with surface moisture and dampness, and can be appleid to surfaces still slightly damp.

This product can also be over-coated for decorative or aesthetic finishes.

questions Danny on 2024-07-31 15:38:10
Question:

Can I use this product on butyle lining of my swimming pool.

Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:

Although this product wouldn't be recommended for this type of application, due to being quite flexible and smooth, and the potential to cause difficulty in adhereing to rubber lining substrates, HMG have advised assuming the lining is prepared as detailed in the technical datasheet, to apply a small amount to a test area to check for adhesion and compatibility firstly, with a view to over-coating the rest of the lining.

questions Declan on 2023-07-07 21:23:16
Question:

Hi, Considering using hmg chlorinated rubber, any recommended spraygun setup? I will be spraying it on sponges to make them more hygienic. Thanks for any help you can give.

Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:

HMG recommends for compliant spray gun application a 1.6 to 1.8mm fluid tip and 11 to 13 thou 40/50 for air assisted.
