Questions
Question about the product
Richard Semple on 2023-09-03 17:11:52 | Question:
Been asked to finish a pine dining table and 10 accompanying chairs in a dark chocolate brown. The table will be paint stripped and sanded back. Would this be a good product for the job. Would I need a base coat on first. Looking at a satin finish please advise many thanks |
Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:
This product would be fine as a finish coat. Assuming you have a clean, dry, sound surface that has been sanded prior to application, HMG Pre Cat Standard Sealer would be recommended as a basecoat/sealer, prior to finishing with HMG Pre Cat AV Colours. This product is available in 5000+ RAL, BS & NCS Colours to a Satin, Matt or Gloss finish.
Neil on 2022-10-04 10:18:26 | Question:
Im looking to paint over sealed mdf would this paint require an additional primer |
Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:
We would recommend testing for compatibility and adhesion prior to full application on a small area with the previously sealed mdf. For bare mdf the primer to use would be HMG Pre Cat Primefast 2014-04.
Daniel on 2021-10-22 17:08:10 | Question:
Hello, what is the guarantee in terms of fading and longevity, with proper preparation and using the pre cat primer? |
Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:
I'm afraid no warranties or guarantees are offered with this product.
