This single-pack acrylic floor paint offers a reliable and durable solution for protecting and enhancing interior and exterior floors. Designed to withstand heavy foot traffic and environmental wear, it ensures long-lasting performance on a variety of surfaces.
Application Areas
It is ideal for use on concrete, steel, wood, and tarmac floors that require hard-wearing protection. The product can be applied over previously painted surfaces as long as they are clean and well-prepared. For external floors, it is essential that a damp-proof membrane is in place, and the surface must be dry.
Application Instructions
- Ensure surfaces are dry and free of dust, efflorescence, and contamination before applying the paint.
- For concrete surfaces, prepare thoroughly by removing loose material and laitance. Non-porous floors should be roughened with vacuum blast cleaning or acid etching using Bradite TA37.
- Use a brush, roller, or sprayer. Thin the first coat with up to 10% water for optimal penetration.
- For additional safety on floors with high foot traffic, Bradite Low Slip Additive LS30 can be added to the paint.
Drying and Curing
This product dries quickly, allowing light traffic after 16 hours and full curing within 7 days. Please avoid heavy traffic or placing vehicles on the surface until the curing period is complete. External floors should not be exposed to extreme heat from vehicle tyres for at least seven days after application.
Limitations and Restrictions
- Not suitable for external decking.
- Do not use on surfaces exposed to brake fluid, as this may cause damage.
- Ensure that surfaces are dry, especially when applying to external floors, and avoid use in areas where the surface is below the water table without a damp-proof membrane.
Maintenance
Routine cleaning and maintenance can help prolong the lifespan of the paint. Avoid using harsh chemicals on the surface, and always clean up spills, especially of petrol or diesel, to maintain the integrity of the finish.
Health and Safety
Always consult the product's safety data sheet for full health and safety information. Contains 1,2-benzisothiazolin-3-one, which may cause allergic reactions. Wear protective gear during application.

Questions
Question about the product
Ian on 2024-10-02 08:34:44 | Question:
Hello Is this suitcase for painting over ceramic floor tiles? |
Answer from Rawlins’ Technical Team:
Assuming the floor tiles are porous and are not glazed, are clean, dry, sound and prepared as detailed in the technical datasheet, this product could be applied. A 20% thinned first coat, followed by two further undiluted coats to finish is recommended to achieve the desired outcome. | |
