Description
HMG Polykote 2K TAP Primer is a transparent 2K adhesion promoter/primer/sealer. It is designed for use on sound OEM finishes when minimum sanding is required and has the additional benefit of being used as a 'wet on wet' primer to optimise process times.
Please note this product is one part of a three-pack system which MUST be purchased/used together with HMG Hardener 9004 Standard or HMG Hardener 9027 Wintermix. A thinner option must also be purchased from HMG Thinner 2601, HMG Thinner 2602 or HMG Thinner 2603.

It is particularly suitable for colour changes to new vehicles as no sanding is required, however it is recommended that leading edges, such as wheelarches, front of bonnets etc, are scotchbrited for maximum performance.
Not for use as a bare metal primer.

- HMG technical data sheets indicate a dry film thickness that will be achieved when applying a particular wet film thickness.
- These values are a guide only and are not to be used as specifications.
- Film thickness will vary depending on actual use and specification.
- Great care should be taken to achieve the dft stated in the agreed specification and to avoid areas of excessively low or high thickness.

Surface Preparation
- Ensure surfaces to be coated are dry and must be cleaned using the appropriate HMG product to remove all traces of contaminants.
- Read and follow the safety data sheet, product data sheet and label instructions.
- Stir all paints thoroughly before use.
- Always use the same batch number on the same job.
- Check colour & sheen.
- Filter the product immediately before use.
- Reduce emissions and maintain quality by replacing tin lid after use.
