Lacq Parquet Varnish is an extremely strong urethane acrylate-based varnish for hardwood and parquet floors with extremely high wear resistance. It can also be used on wood furniture and stairs.

Lacq Parquet lacquer is easy to apply and is recommended for wood floors that are used intensively.

After seven days the floor can be maintained with a mop, soap and water. For this, use Lacq Nourishing Floor Soap to guarantee an optimal lifetime of the protection.

Lacq Parquet Varnish can be used on any type of wood, solid or veneer.

Features & Benefits

• Extremely strong urethane acrylate-based varnish for hardwood and parquet floors

• Does not yellow
• Water-based and low odour
• Recoatable (at 20°C and 40-65% RH) after 1.5 - 2 hours

• Fully hardened after 7 days (cleanable)

Substrate Requirements

Untreated Timber:

• Thoroughly degrease floor with Fluxaf Proclean; degrease tropical wood varieties such as Teak, Wengé with a thinner
• Sand the surface in the direction of the grain. Use a P120 - P150 grit for this purpose.
• Sanding is not necessary, only when a smooth finish is required
• After sanding, thoroughly vacuum remove any remaining dust

Treated Wood (other than with Lacq Parquet Varnish):

• First, thoroughly remove all old lacquer, wax or oil layers, because these can have a negative effect on the adhesion and quality of the Lacq Parquet Varnish
• This can be accomplished with the appropriate sanders and/or cleaning agents
• Sand the surface in the direction of the grain use a P120 - P150 grit for this purpose
• After sanding, thoroughly vacuum and remove all remaining dust

Coverage

• Approximately 12-15m² per litre, depending on type of wood, sanding method and method of application

Note: This coverage is indicative. Results are highly dependent on the type of wood, application and preparation. We recommend you set up a trial area to determine the exact coverage and result.

Application

Note: The product is ready for use and therefore should not be thinned.

Untreated Timber:

• Thoroughly stir the product
• The product can be applied with a roller, brush or spray
• For maximum protection we recommend the application of 3 coats. It is recoatable after 1.5-2 hours
• Lightly sand in between coats with a P220 or P320 grit
• Always provide for proper ventilation

Treated Wood (other than with Lacq Parquet Varnish):

• Thoroughly stir the product
• The product can be applied with a roller, brush or spray
• For maximum protection we recommend the application of 3 coats. It is recoatable after 1.5-2 hours
• Lightly sand in between coats with a P220 or P240 grit
• Always ensure proper ventilation

Cleaning

• All tools used can be cleaned with water

Shelf Life

• 12 months at between 5 and 35°C in its original unopened packaging
